MURDER, MYSTERY, MAYHEM

ABITOFACHRISTIE PODCAST

Hazel Jones is the podcaster, who will be recording The Rough Close Murder on 23 August.

Hazel Jones'  podcast, Abitofa Christie, is inspired by Agatha Christie's works, delving into aspects from her books such as acting, terriers, witchcraft, and crime scene investigation. Guest interviews enhance understanding of these topics and the novels, with each episode covering a true crime case from the novel's publication year.

I was asked along for Hazel Jones' first Agatha Christie episode to compare my book "The Barlaston Murderer - Leslie Green" and "Mrs McGinty's Dead" by Agatha Christie.  Agatha Christie wrote her book in 1952, whereas Mrs Wiltshaw was brutally murdererd, in Barlaston, in 1952.  Both concern elderly ladies who were murdered.

I really enjoyed working with Hazel and all of her podcasts are so interesting, with added music clips and sounds that bring the podcasts together,  making them so enjoyable to listen to.  They are full of fascinating facts plus Hazel bring's in guests whose work could be linked in some way or other to one of Agatha Christie's books.

Julie Angel, the psychic medium featured in The Rough Close Murder, in episode 7, Dumb Witness, Part 1, talking about her experiences as a psychic medium.  I appear, with Julie, in episode 8, Dumb Witness, Part 2, talking about The Rough Close Murder.

Love this podcast!

Hazel Jones does an excellent job as a host. I love learning more about Agatha Christie and hearing different voices discuss their take on her stories. It’s also really interesting hearing her guests talk about other cases that happened in real life and are very similar to stories written by Agatha. It just goes to show you how much insight Agatha had into human behavior and, especially, crime. Love that Hazel also gives a brief history lesson as to what was going on in the world at the time, too. It helps put things into perspective. Great job, Hazel.
